Sergeant Otabek Kuvatov was born in 1978 in the Samarkand region. In 1999 he started his service in Tashkent patrol guard service brigade.
On March 29, 2004 at 09:25 AM, near of the entrance to the “Detskiy Mir” (Baby world) shop located on the “Chorsu” market area, an unknown woman blew up a suicide belt. The explosion killed several patrol guard officers, including Otabek Quvatov.

After taking many injuries, he died at the same place he stood. He had a son and a daughter. Every month, his family receives from Tashkent city the Main Department of internal affairs financial assistance.

On April 26, 2004, for his courage and dedication in protecting the peaceful life of our people, he was posthumously awarded the “Jasorat” Medal.
