First Lieutenant Mansur Turgunov was born in 1969 in the Samarkand region. His service in the internal affairs he started in 1990 in the Yakkasaray district Department of security service. Since 2001, he worked as a prevention inspector of the internal affairs department in the Yakkasaray district.

First Lieutenant M. Turgunov immediately died on the same place he stood. He had a son and a daughter.

On April 30, 2004, for his courage and dedication in safeguarding the peaceful life of our people and fulfilling his duty, for bravery in defending national interests, good services in strengthening peace and stability in the country, Mansur Turgunov was posthumously awarded the “Jasorat” medal. Management of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Yakkasaray District organizes a football tournament among officers each year dedicated to the memory of Mansur Turgunov.
