A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China visited the Tashkent Police Department
Acute issues of concern to the modern international community, such as countering transnational crime and religious extremism, combating terrorism, drug trafficking and other types of organized cross-border crime were discussed at the Moscow Police Department during a working meeting with the official representative of the Ministry of Public Security (MOB) of the People's Republic of China, adviser to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Liu Tongping. The deputy head of the GUVD, G. V., met the guests and conducted a conversation with them. Tashkent – Head of the Department for Ensuring Safe Tourism, Colonel Rustam Saifulov.
Welcoming the guests, Colonel R. Saifulov noted that the visit of Mr. Liu Tongping is evidence of strengthening trusting relations between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the Tashkent Police Department, as well as confirmation of readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation on law enforcement issues within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in August this year between the Tashkent Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Main Public Security Department of Beijing of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The latter is especially important for ensuring a stable operational situation and the security of citizens, both in our region and in all States of the world community, since the tasks of maintaining peace and tranquility are assigned to law enforcement agencies.
Then the deputy head of the Tashkent city police Department briefly spoke about the reforms carried out in the structure of the Main Department of Internal Affairs recently, changes in the methods and principles of work of employees, where the principle of serving the interests of the people is defined as the leading one.
R. Saifulov stressed that the Police Department of the capital consistently supports and intends to continue active cooperation with the General Directorate of Public Security of Beijing of the Ministry of Defense of China in solving security issues in Central Asia, including the joint fight against the "three forces of evil" and crimes in the field of information technology.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged proposals for the further development of productive cooperation between the two law enforcement agencies. In particular, opinions were expressed about the continuation of training of our law enforcement officers in China, the possibility of the arrival of leading specialists of the People's Republic of China in our country in order to conduct advanced training courses for our law enforcement officers in a number of areas.
Then the parties discussed some details of the upcoming joint work, the results of which will increase the degree of public safety and the safety of citizens and guests of the capital of Uzbekistan.
